Will ask for full information : Bulgarian PM criticises Russia for putting journalist Grozev on wanted list

The Bulgarian Prime Minister on Thursday (Dec 29) criticised Russia for putting Bulgarian journalist Christo Grozev, who investigated Russian dissident Alexei Navalny's poisoning, in 2020 on a "wanted" list. According to the information published by the Russian interior ministry, Grozev the chief investigative journalist for Bellingcact news outlet is "wanted under an article of the Criminal Code."

Disputes with India should be resolved through talks, says Pak Foreign Office

To resolve all issues with India, Pakistan has shown its readiness for dialogue and has demanded that New Delhi should also create a positive atmosphere for talks, PTI reported. On Thursday, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, "However, in order to pave the way for a meaningful and result oriented dialogue, India must take steps to create a positive environment in the region."

Philippines communist leader Jose Maria Sison dies at 83 in Netherlands

The Communist Party of the Philippines on Saturday announced that Jose Maria Sison passed away at 83.  The party in a statement without confirming the reason behind the demise of the leader said, "Sison. passed away at around 8:40 p.m. (Philippine time) after two weeks' confinement in a hospital in Utrecht."  He was the man who launched one of the world's longest-running insurgencies died in the Netherlands.

India slammed Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly debate on Russia as its  permanent representative member to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj gave a befitting reply to the Pakistani diplomat Muni Akram, who brought up the 'Kashmir' issue and tried to draw parallels with the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
