Vietnam has confirmed 14,112 new coronavirus infections in 56 cities and provinces over the past 24 hours, a rise of nearly 2,000 compared to the previous day, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in its coronavirus update on February 6.
The daily number of coronavirus infections surprisingly rose sharply on February 4, peaking at more than 11,000, after falling to 10,000 or even 9,000 on previous days.
Vietnam has recorded 15,959 new coronavirus infections during the past 24 hours, while the number of Omicron cases has risen to 108 nationwide, the Ministry of Health reported on January 19.
After having gradually fallen to more than 14,000 cases over the past few days, the daily number of new infections surprisingly hit the 17,000 mark again on January 5, rising to 17,017, the Ministry of Health said in its coronavirus update.
The daily number of new coronavirus infections suddenly rose by nearly 2,100 on January 2 to 16,948 in all 63 cities and provinces across the country, the Ministry of Health said in its coronavirus update.
