very different scenes at two protests in san francisco. one of them peaceful but the other ending in a clash between protesters and the police. ginger is live for us in san francisco to give us the story on both those protests, ginger. reporter: yes, anoushah, they were very different scenes. we re here outside the chinese consulate in san francisco where a group of about 40 protesters clashed with police just a couple hours ago. they identified themselves as antiracism, antifascism protesters. we re told the protesters learned that members of the proud boys were planning to be at the consulate. but it doesn t appear any members showed. this group of counterprotesters then clashed with police. it all came hours after an unrelated march that also took place in san francisco. that s in sharp contrast to what happened earlier in the day where a thousand or so people marched throughout the seats of downtown for the 17th annual walk for life. that event was not given a permit
