The Independent Last year, there wasn t any pomp and circumstance or groups of mortarboards sailing through the air as graduation ceremonies were canceled amid the pandemic. Most seniors walked across the stage without their classmates in private ceremonies attended by their parents and a few school administrators. Things are looking a little better for this year s seniors as area school districts are planning to host in-person graduation ceremonies. While some still are in the planning stages, others have set the time and place for the celebration. Whatever the plans, school officials echoed the same sentiment – seniors deserve to be able to celebrate the culmination of their academic career with their peers, family and friends. ....
