Larry Poons began painting hard-edge dots at the outset. Later, he developed a genuinely immersive Color Field approach. His current show at Yares Art, One for Baby, takes a different approach, but these are some of his best works in decades.
Frank Stella, a giant in the arenas of Minimalism and post-painterly abstraction, died of lymphoma on May 4 at his home in New York. He was eighty-seven.
