LANSDALEÂ â Borough officials are joining the call to extend help for those impacted by COVID-19.
Council has discussed, and could vote next week, to back a state resolution working its way through Harrisburg. We were made aware of the state legislature putting together a resolution to support a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions, during this COVID-19 period â a continuation of that until after this is over, said Borough Manager John Ernst.

LANSDALE — After a weekend that dropped several inches of snow across the region, Lansdale s Code Blue shelter is staying open for at least a few more days.
And borough council got an earful of them Wednesday. During this last storm, the Lansdale Police Department issued about 70 tickets for parking on snow alert zones, said councilwoman Meg Currie Teoh.
- Advertisement - You may have noticed: if people were parked on both sides, maybe a plow didn t go down your street. It s possible that when we go a long time without a real snow, people forget the process, she said.
Complaints on social media throughout the storm led to a lengthy discussion at council s public safety committee meeting Wednesday night, Teoh said, largely centered on the borough police department ticketing those who remained parked on snow emergency routes that should be kept clear when emergency declarations are in effect.
