India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) found that the note in question has been circulating on the Internet for almost a decade and is not related to CDS Rawat’s chopper crash.
Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika and his Defence Adviser Brigadier LS Lidder were among the 13 people killed in the crash on Wednesday. Gen Rawat, his wife and Brig Lidder were cremated at Delhi s Brar Square Crematorium Friday evening.
Positive identification of the mortal remains of the remaining four soldiers who lost their lives in a chopper crash in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, has been done through DNA testing and will be released to the family members on Sunday morning, the Indian Army said.
