this is cbs news bay area. hello, i m sara donchey. the santa rosa school district is under serious pressure to make sure its students feel safe. after jaden pionta was stabbed to death, there was a lot of outrage, a lot of anger after he was killed and it all led up to this tonight. 500 people packed a meeting where students told the superintendent they need to fix this problem now. betty yu talked to a student who isn t even in high school yet who finds her high school is already out of hand. reporter: the concern about school safety and resources was not just expressed by students and parents at montgomery high school, but shared by the community district wide. we are humans. reporter: students and parents made their demands clear. they want to be protected and supported. among the crowd was 14-year-old alexa torres. i shouldn t have to go through those four years in fear. reporter: the media wasn t allowed to record speakers during the listening session ....
