To be suffering from both dementia and alzheimers, allegedly sexually assaulted, and the complaint filed is now raising serious questions about one of the largest nursing home operators in the state. These are bruises on cheryl doe, a 79 year old former patient at Windsor Health care center of oakland. She and her son, robert , allege the injuries are a result of a Sexual Assault that was swept under the rug. Robert says he admitted her here with hopes to keep her safe as she battles alzheimers and dementia. But he says the real battle happened inside the facility. The first time was a rape assault, and i didnt find out until two days later after it initially happened. This is the voice of cheryls son robert, who was kept anonymous to protect his familys privacy. Robert says his mom was raped by another resident living in the facility in august last year. He says a certified nursing assistant told him not management. She said your moms been getting raped in this facility and they know
Filed a 1500 page brief with exhibits asking for a new trial based on what it claims is evidence withheld from petersons defense team. The defense was entitled to those at the time of trial. The la Innocence Project is focusing on this van, found torched a mile away from the peterson home the day after laci disappeared, with a mattress that tested positive for blood. Wants to remind oakland residents and visitors of lake merritts vibrancy and beauty this summer. Childrens fairyland executive director Kimberly Miller came up with the idea. I want children and families to feel really comfortable and excited to enjoy outdoor recreation, art and culture at our heart center at the lake. The initiative is a collaboration among lakeside institutions including the oakland museum, the oakland public library, and visit oakland. There will be pop up activities featuring free concerts, jogging and walking groups, and health and welln
