SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The next meeting of the California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy) Board will be on Thursday, June 20 at 9:30 a.m. in the Lisa Maloff Center at Lake Tahoe Community College. They will also broadcast the meeting virtually via Zoom.
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board approved a $10 fee hike Thursday for its watercraft inspection, invasive species decontamination program, reduced marina funding for the programs and agreed to close an inspection facility at Homewood, officials said.
Nearly 25 years ago, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and dozens of partners embarked on an unprecedented mission to conserve and restore the Lake Tahoe Basin’s treasured natural resources through the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program.
Following a stellar Lake Tahoe boating season, this Thursday, September 20th will be the last day of operations for the Northstar and Homewood boat inspection stations. Boat inspections and decontaminations will still be available at the Alpine, Spooner and Meyers stations until Sept. 30 2012.
