Passengers were rerouted to other parts of the airport. Inside the International Terminal, different groups of protesters blocked the security gates at the a gates and the g gates at the International Terminal. The protesters were chanting things like stop the siege on gaza. Shut it down for palestine. Free gaza. There was a sign into the airport that said nobody flies while gaza dies. They say hospitals in the county are asking them to do too much and not offering enough. Ktvu james torres explains how the two sides got to this point. Nearly 4000 nurses finished their shift early this morning and immediately took to the picket lines. Its all about ensuring Patient Safety and nurse safety. Strikes happening at a total of three area hospitals run by the professional registered nurses association. They say theyve not had a contract with Santa Clara County in months.
