LABUAN, March 4 Labuan has vaccinated 76.45 per cent or 1,789 of its total 2,340 frontliners as of today, with the remaining to receive the vaccine in stages until April.
The Labuan-level National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme was launched on February 27, a day after the arrival of 4,680 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the Labuan Ferry Terminal from Kota Kinabalu. ....

LABUAN: Labuan police will monitor closely the activities of a group on the island that is spreading propaganda against Covid-19 vaccines through various social media platforms.
Labuan Acting Police Chief DSP Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani
(pic) said this would include taking action against any individuals or groups who use social media to spread inaccurate information on the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
“We will monitor the spread of inaccurate information with regard to this vaccination programme, and if there is a police report lodged, we will take immediate action against those involved,” he said at the Labuan Ferry Terminal after the arrival of the first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine from Kota Kinabalu, Friday. ....

LABUAN: The first batch of 2,340 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is scheduled to arrive in Labuan today (Friday).
Labuan Acting Police Chief DSP Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani said the vaccine would be transported by road from Kota Kinabalu and ferried to the duty-free island via the Menumbok ferry terminal at 8am.
“We expect the vaccine to arrive at the Labuan Ferry Terminal around 9.30am, and it will be escorted by traffic policemen to the vaccine storage centre at the Membedai Health Clinic,” he said, Thursday.

The Labuan Health Department has established at least three vaccination centres for Labuan s immunisation programme, which is scheduled to kick off tomorrow (Saturday) at 8am. ....

Sabah receives first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine


KOTA KINABALU (Feb 25): Sabah today received 16,380 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to kickstart the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme in the state which will be implemented in the near future.
State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun, who is also state government spokesman on Covid-19, said five more batches of the vaccine would be delivered in stages until April 1.
He said the second batch of 9,360 doses will be delivered on March 4, followed by the third batch of 24,550 doses on March 11, while the fourth batch of 3,510 doses on March 18.
“The fifth batch of the vaccine, a total of 18,720 doses, will be delivered on March 25, followed by the sixth batch of 31,590 doses will be delivered on April 1,” he told reporters after receiving the first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines via special aircraft at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) 2 here, at 12.40pm today. ....
