LABUAN: The body of an unidentified man was found on the beach of Rusukan Besar Island, about two nautical miles from the Labuan jetty, around noon Thursday.
Acting Labuan OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Ibrahim Ghani said they received a report on the discovery of the body from a member of the public and the body arrived at the marine police jetty at 1.58pm.
“A marine police team and healthcare personnel received the body to be sent to Labuan Hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.

He said thus far, there were no signs of injury on the body that could suggest foul play and there were no identification documents found on the body.

Kota Kinabalu: A 61-year-old man sustained serious injuries in an accident involving his Toyota Rav4 and a Perodua Viva along Jalan Tun Mustapha in Labuan on Tuesday.
The man who sustained a fractured thigh is currently warded at the Labuan Hospital but reported to be in a stable condition, according to Acting Labuan Police Chief DSP Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani.
Preliminary findings showed that the elderly man was heading towards Pohon Batu when he lost control of his car which subsequently hit a Proton Viva driven by a 72-year-old man.

KOTA KINABALU: The dripping of a blood-like fluid from the ceiling of a man’s flat in Labuan led to the discovery of a deceased man from the upper floor.
The 36-year-old occupant of the third-floor unit was sitting in his living room when he saw drops of what looked like blood dripping from his ceiling at his place in Taman Mutiara Sungai Bedaun, on Tuesday (March 2).
Labuan acting OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani said the man then alerted the authorities to the matter.
The police, together with firemen, broke down the door on the upper unit and found a dead man who was still in a seated position on his couch, said DSP Ibrahim.
