The La Crosse Police Department (LCPD) announced their application for re-accreditation through the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG).
La Crosse County Board has approved a $370,000 grant over three years to enhance the joint efforts between the City of La Crosse and the county in improving response to mental health crisis situations. The Connect and Protect grant aims to provide timely resources, reducing hospitalization and criminalization, and expanding response hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
