Gerald R. and Audrie Packer, of Beech Creek, celebrated their 70th anniversary on March 31. They met while Audrie was attending Lock Haven Teachers College. She was from the Pittsburgh area and met Gerald while living with her aunt and uncle in Orviston. They had two sons, Kurt (Linda) and Gerald (Geep) who is deceased. They have four grandsons Clark, Jeff, Karl and Jack, and also three great-grandchildren in Indiana. The couple plans to celebrate quietly at home.
