Terry it felt like i would always write this book but it didnt at the beginning. When i was leaving time inc. , i went through files i had carried with me of 13 different magazines. I thought i traveled light. I found all kinds of stories, photographs of the relationship i had with these various writers and i thought the best way for me to show my own writing would probably be to write about these writers.
