State Agriculture Minister Kursala Kannababu introduced the Agriculture budget in the assembly today (May 20) as part of the ongoing Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget session. In its commitment to being a farmer-centric welfare state, the government has allocated Rs 31,256.36 Crore for various agri-related schemes for the year 2021-22.

The state government has allocated Rs 7,400 crore in the current budget for the scheme in the Budget 2020-21. AP Assembly Budget Session 2021: Tammineni Chairs BAC Meeting

Amaravati: Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram chaired the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting on Thursday morning ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Budget 2021. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Ministers Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Kursala Kannababu, Anil Kumar Yadav, and Chief Whip Srikanth Reddy also presided over the meeting.
The BAC (Business Advisory Committee) agreed that the meetings would last only a day. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will address the house after the budget is presented.
A decision on the privatization of the Visakhapatnam steel plant will be taken later. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is expected to pass a resolution against the privatization of VSP after the Budget Session concludes. The Andhra Pradesh State Budget for 2021–22, which includes sub-plans for women, BC, SC, ST, and minorities, will be adopted in the Legislative Assembly soon. ....

AMARAVATI:  Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday released the first tranche of YSR Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan for the consecutive third year, by crediting Rs 3,928.88 crore into the accounts of 52.38 lakh farmers, where each eligible farmer would get Rs 7,500.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the State government hasn’t held back any welfare scheme, despite going through Covid crisis and so was Rythu Bharosa. As promised during padayatra, the scheme was initiated to benefit the farmer fraternity across the State. He said so far, the State government had spent Rs 68,000 crore alone for farmers in the 23 months, whereas for Rythu Bharosa alone Rs 17,029 crore was spent. In all these 23 months, the government had directly credited Rs 89,000 crore into the accounts of beneficiaries under various schemes without any discrimination or corruption, with full transp ....
