KATHMANDU, April 4: The Department of Health and Population of the CPN-UML submitted a memorandum on Wednesday to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, urging him to take initiatives for amending contradictory laws in the health sector. A team led by the head of the department, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, submitted a 15-point memorandum to Minister Yadav.
Lawmakers Rai, Shrestha and Pant of UML stressed that the minister should step down to create an environment of independent investigation into the matter.
