IIU, PITB agree on setting up freelance training centre Islamabad April 11, 2021 Islamabad: The International Islamic University (IIU) and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) signed an agreement for establishment of National Freelance Training Center (NFTC) at the university. In the center, freelancing training will be provided to youth to empower them for employment. It will be focused on producing skilled and digitally aware human resource. The agreement is aimed to promote technology and entrepreneurship across the country. Both the university and the board have agreed to jointly work for main streaming the digital skills. The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Faisal Masjid Campus of the University which was joined by IIU President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi who also signed the document. Lahore February 14, 2021 LAHORE : Punjab Information Technology Board Director General e-Governance Sajid Latif has said the PITB has signed memorandum of understanding with a company to co-host Pakistan Innovation Roadshow which is set to begin in March. Pakistan Innovation Roadshow aims to highlight the country’s booming tech environment and top-tech talent and will offer the aspiring freelancers a chance to collaborate and learn from major stakeholders in the country’s tech industry. After the agreement-signing ceremony, Sajid Latif explained that building synergies to develop a strong entrepreneurial environment was important for PITB and these opportunities were a great way for the students and aspiring freelancers to learn from the experienced professionals in the tech industry. ....
