Woman, son die as heavy rain wreaks havoc in capital

ISLAMABAD: A woman and her 8-year-old son were killed in the federal capital on Wednesday as heavy rainfall played havoc in E-11 and D-12 and many areas of Rawalpindi on Wednesday due to cloudburst.
Several areas of Islamabad experienced flooding which multiplied miseries for the residents of the area.
According to reports, the woman and her son drowned when rainwater entered the basement of their house. Their dead bodies were later shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The incident happened at about 6: am while rescue teams reached the site at about 11:00 am. While, her two children – a daughter, 13 and 5-year-old son were rescued by the young group of the area.

Their bodies were later shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The incident happened at about 6am while rescue teams reached the site at about 11am. While, her two children – a daughter, 13 and 5-year-old son were rescued by the youngsters of the area.
