Quarter to 9 00 tonight. There was significant damage into that grocery. Plaster came off, walls were broken. Windows were shattered. The explosion happened in a house behind the grocery store. A residents of the house died some time ago. Family members were showing up to remove items when they saw something that looked suspicious. They had qualms and called police at 6 00 tonight and the bomb squad showed up. Police say there were some evacuations in the area and the neighborhood. We talked to one gentleman who was evacuated from a restaurant across the street. Once we got outside, they asked us to move down some and you hear a big explosion. They had already told us there was a bomb carry and everybody was kind of shook. Reporter police are still trying to figure out what that device was. Whether it was a bomb. Good morning. Good to be with you. Im annemarie green. A 12yearold boy who allegedly opened fire at a new Mexico Middle School has been transferred to a psychiatric hospital. Charges are expected to be filed today. Police say the seventh grader carried a concealed shotgun into the school in roswell and opened fire yesterday morning. Two students were wounded. One is in satisfactory condition, but the other is in critical condition. Omar villafranca has our report. Reporter the school day had barely begun in roswell, new mexico. Students were gathered in the gym before heading to class when a fellow student entered carrying band instrument case. Police say he opened the case, pulled out a 20gauge shotgun and started shooting. Two students were shot, a boy and a girl, as well as a school staff member. Kpix 5s Christin Ayers reports a massive brush fire burned for several hours on Kimball Island in the delta. Reporter by evening, chopper 5 showed that the fire on Kimball Island had flared to several acres. Fueled by an overgrowth of tender dry brush burning as hot as it would have during the dry summer months. George watched from across the delta in antioch. Kind of spread bilger and a little bigger and eventually it was all the way down to the end of the island. Reporter three buildings burned and a handful of people on the sparsely populated island had to be evacuated as the fire formed a ring around a smattering of structures. But firefighters are still watching for hot spots this morning. The fire was out officially at about 9 30 last night. But check out some of this video shot yesterday. Three homes burned in this fire as well as several outbuildings and about 50 acres of land on Kimball Island, which is accessible only by boat. The fire was reported at about 2 30 yesterday afternoon. It started as a small brush fire but spread quickly because of the strong winds. We want to bring you these live pictures of this fire burning right now, this is near antioch. It started around 3 00 this afternoon as a brush fire and quickly spread to the structure here. As you can see at least one structure is engulfed in flames. There are 20 other structures on the island. A handful of people live on this island. The coast guard helped with evacuations. Everybody else has evacuated by their boats or getting assistance from the coast guard. They are aggressively fighting this fire from the land and the water. It looks like the fire has spread to two structures. The crews are working this very aggressively, but everyone on this island has been accounted for, which is good news. More than a dozen people live on this island in sacramento county. Its really in the delta just one mile across the antioch marina. Just northeast of antioch.
