good evening, i m heather holmes. i m ken wayne. two young men are behind bars tonight in connection to a shooting that left an 11-year- old san francisco girl in critical condition. the two suspects are 18 or 19 years old. police have not released their names but say they were involved in an altercation in the city s western addition neighborhood last night that erupted in gunfire. alley rasmus reports. reporter: eric holtz described the scene when he heard gunfire at 11:00 last night. it was loud and sudden. i was went deaf, you know, like hear something real loud and shattering a glass. reporter: two bullets struck his apartment. one went through the bed room window. his 11-year-old niece was inside listening to her ipod. she came running out and said, i been shot. reporter: the bullet struck the girl in the chest. her uncle says she is in critical but stable condition after surgery. we don t know who is behind this or what how they feel or why they ....

issues. tonight we have issues here at sfo. i want to show you what s taking place on the tarmac. a couple of jumbo jets out, 747s. the international flights are getting out on time. it s the flights to the east coast, this small plane experiencing delays up to about 90 minutes. it s even worse for short haul flights, their weight, about 2- 3 hours. san francisco international airport, on a clear night, 120 nights coming and going every hour. tonight, that number is down to 54. it has been a day of delays and cancellations. our son is getting engaged tomorrow. reporter: a snow restricts the number of runways for approvals and departures. the back up can be seen inside the terminals. nice long lines formed by 150- plus southwest passengers have the appearance of never ending, leaving some folks standing in it a bit confused. unbelievable. i didn t think it rained that much. it does in ohio, but i didn t think it did out here. reporter: every now and then it does. ....
