Lampasas City Council made several decisions on matters of water supply, discussed an airport closure and approved a rodeo arena improvement project at the March 25 meeting. Assistant City Manager Ryan Ward said negotiations with Kempner Water Supply Corp.
The city of Lampasas is yet to follow suit with the Kempner Water Supply Corp. in reducing the water restrictions imposed on customers. The Lampasas City Council, however, is expected to weigh in at Monday’s regular meeting on possibly downgrading the restrictions.
Central Texas Water Supply General Manager Lee Kelley said repairs to the plant’s two lower intake pumps are advancing, and he expects one pump to be completed and operational within the next two weeks.
