Rev. Beverley Warner Award the organization’s highest honor, named after the 18th rector of Trinity Episcopal Church and founder of Kingsley House.  The award is given to individuals or organizations that have made a significant impact on Kingsley House and its participants in the last year.
Collectively, LCMC Health and Ochsner Health trained, certified and hired 62 participants from the Kingsley Connections Career Pathways Program, which links community members to job preparedness, living wage employment and career building in high growth fields, all of which are supported by a network of career coaches, family advocates, and community health navigators. ....

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Air Force One brought President Joe Biden to Louisiana as part of his “Getting American Back on Track” Tour.
First, he stopped in Lake Charles, an area devastated by powerful 2020 hurricanes. Then he flew to New Orleans to tour the Sewerage and Water Board’s Carrollton Water Plant. The S&WB has an aged system with some equipment a hundred years old and has infrastructure needs. ....

NEW ORLEANS – This week, Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards fell in line with most other Southern governors by partially
lifting Louisiana’s statewide mask mandate. Face coverings are now only required in schools, healthcare facilities, daycare centers, some state buildings and other specific locations – including on public transit.
Meanwhile, at a Thursday morning press conference, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and Dr. Jennifer Avegno, director of the city’s health department, announced that the
city’s mask mandate will remain in place but larger gatherings will be allowed. In addition, capacity limits are going away for most establishments. Under the new rules that take effect Friday, outdoor gatherings of up to 500 will be allowed.
