Iconic Hamburg artwork sets off on a new journey

It was just a matter of time before the magnificent handwork created at Hamburg’s Keiskamma Arts Project took on a new form. Founded 23 years ago by Dr Carol Hofmeyer, the project has produced award-winning embroideries documenting the history, culture and everyday life of the Eastern Cape. To own a piece stitched by the artists of Hamburg is to own a unique artwork, a tactile embodiment of the province’s rich heritage.
