Knowles has a one-shot advantage on Bryson Nimmer and two over Alex Smalley as they head into the final round Saturday. “Overall, today was really good. I made a lot of birdies the last couple of days but was just plagued by some squares on the scorecard,” he said of his bogeys. “I kept it clean today, which was nice. I’ve improved every day and this golf course sets up really well for me.” ....

Tilton/Getty Images) MJ Daffue continued his success in Monday qualifiers, successfully earning a spot in his fifth PGA TOUR start of the season. Daffue shot a 64 on Monday that included three eagles. He has made the cut in two of his five PGA TOUR starts this season (he also received one sponsor exemption). His T12 at the Sanderson Farms Championship is the best finish by a Monday qualifier this season. His record on Mondays is incredible. In the last two years, Daffue has qualified for 12 events on the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR. ....

The Mackenzie Tour recently completed its sixth Qualifying Tournament of the year at Callaway Gardens Resort. TORONTO, Canada The Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada announced Monday that its seventh and final 2021 Qualifying Tournament originally scheduled for Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada, on May 24-27 will move to the United States. The Home Course in the Tacoma, Washington, suburb of DuPont is the new site, with adjusted dates of June 8-11 for the 72-hole, no-cut tournament. Players who registered for and expected to play in Canada will now compete in this Qualifying Tournament, which will offer a full membership card to the winner, exemptions for the first half of the season for those finishing in second to sixth places and conditional status for those in seventh through 25th places (and ties). ....
