A man was shot to death Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in the 1000 block of 26th Street in Bessemer.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Keaderick Terrod Robertson. He lived in Midfield.
It all began about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of 26th Street in Bessemer. Lt. Christian Clemons said it appears there were shots exchanged, possibly from someone in a vehicle and someone else in a house on 26th Street.
Robertson was struck and his Chevrolet Malibu came to a rest against a utility pole, just a few yards from where investigators marked 15 shell casings. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:33 a.m. ....

Shootout erupts in Bessemer neighborhood, 21-year-old killed


BESSEMER A 21-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a Tuesday-night shooting in Bessemer.
Keaderick Terrod Robertson, of Midfield, lost his life during an apparent shootout in the 1000 block of 26th Street North in Bessemer. Authorities believe the shooting took place at approximately 10:13  p.m. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m.
The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide and currently have one suspect in custody for questioning.
According to a report from al.com, police believe the shots were exchanged between the vehicle Robertson was in and someone in a house on 26th Street. Robertson’s Chevrolet Malibu came to rest against a utility pole after the shots were fired. ....
