BESSEMER — A 21-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a Tuesday-night shooting in Bessemer.
Keaderick Terrod Robertson, of Midfield, lost his life during an apparent shootout in the 1000 block of 26th Street North in Bessemer. Authorities believe the shooting took place at approximately 10:13  p.m. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m.
The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide and currently have one suspect in custody for questioning.
According to a report from al.com, police believe the shots were exchanged between the vehicle Robertson was in and someone in a house on 26th Street. Robertson’s Chevrolet Malibu came to rest against a utility pole after the shots were fired.
