Jonece (Jonie) Jayne Paynter, age 92, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed way Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Ponca City Nursing and Rehab Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Ponca City Odd Fellows Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Reverend Joseph Highley of the First Lutheran Church. On Friday, July 14, Alliance Medical staff reported that a 2-month-old had been brought in by ambulance with a suspicious head injury and was transported to OU Children’s Hospital where the child was immediately sent to surgery. Ponca City Detectives were dispatched to investigate.
