Look, here is the problem. this whole process is not designed to get at the truth and now you have this lawyer, katz, who is representing blasey. and they re putting all these conditions on a hearing. and i think this is maybe backfiring on the republicans not the republicans a little bit, but on the democrats a little bit. but on the democrats and, donnie, you re a pr guy. if you re running pr for the republicans, the last thing that you want is to have dr. ford testifying on the committee. so is it more preconditions they set down, the more you re going, thank you, thank you, now if you can make it on a rocket ship to mars, thank you. make this as impossible as you can for us. it seems to me that at some point the democrats are going to have to step in and say, listen, we need your client up there. ....
10:00 p.m. it is supposed to be the last and final deadline according to committee sources. i want to read the statement chairman grassley just issued. my committee has been investigating the allegations and heard from multiple witnesses since san diego. ms. katz has discussed dr. ford s accusations and said that she wants to share her account with the committee. it is friday night and nothing has been agreed to despite our extensive efforts to make it possible. i m extending the deadline yet again to 10:00 this evening. i m providing for a vote to occur on monday in the event dr. ford decides not to testify. in the event we cannot come to a reasonable resolution, i ve been seeking all week, then i will postpone the committee vote to accommodate her testimony. we cannot continue to delay. so basically the chairman of the committee, who has been engaged in these negotiations that really started last night and kind of gone back and forth throughout the day, officially ....
Against the antitrump conspiracy. judge jeanine pirro. you are both battling out weeke after week for number one on the new york times. it couldn t happen to two better people! what a great crowd out here. fabulous! sean: they are great. i was crowd surfing. it s fun. sean: originally. [cheers and applause] this is a great crowd. originally they said we want an fbiy. investigation. fbi says that s not what they do. sean: we are hearing all these other things. we do not want people to disagree with us. we ve got a new set of terms. the lawyer, katz, for professor ford, she didn t believe paula jones. she stood up for the creep al franken. it s political. none of the people they are. attacking here, judge kavanaugh, none of them have gone after keith ellison, number two of thein dnc, congressman. doesn t that prove the hypocrisy?e it not only proves the hypocrisy. but since when does truth and ....
That s why republicans nationally are behind this nomination, at least want to see both sides sttell the story nex week. that s why you want to see what both sides have to say. and why i think it s interesting this latest statement from katz is clearly at this point the allegations are driving the conversation. you say, well, we re going to hold off until the fbi completes its investigation. now we see the fbi probably won t investigate this matter, but now we re not going to agree to appear on monday. what chuck grassly is doing right now is seeming to talk with katz is when do you want to talk on monday? if it looks like they re just playing games, that will backfire on them. and yet at the same time monday does feel arbitrary. it feels like on one hand you ....
Committee, we think. so, joining me now is one of the members of that committee, louisiana republican senator john kennedy. welcome back to the show, sir. thanks, chuck. i said we think because we know this hearing is scheduled but do you have an update of what you know about whether dr. ford will participate in this hearing yet? as of 12:15, when a number of republican members of the committee met with staff, with our staff, we had they had tried repeatedly to reach professor ford s attorney, i think miss katz, and hadn t been able to get through. hadn t heard back from her. we met by we, i mean the republican members of the committee met yesterday, decided we wanted to have a hearing, a public hearing. right. we offered thursday or monday to our democratic colleagues. i don t know who made the ....
