francisco. where police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a 65 year old woman late yesterday morning. a short time later.officers found and arrested jonathon santos on mansell street.near john mclaran park. the 24-year-old from vallejo was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder. the victim has been identified as 65-year-old lian xiu wu. she was killed near the intersection of broad street and plymouth avenue in the city s taraval district. two other victims, a 40- year-old man and 51-year-old manare expected to survive. wu was walking out to a bus stopwhen she was shot and killed. police described her as an innocent victim . investigators have not released a motive.and are asking people to come forward in they have any info. fire. it is considered accidental.arson has now been officiallt ruled out. four people died in that fire.four others, including two children were hospitalized with injuries. dozens of people lost their homes in that fire that started raging early monday morning in on san pablo morning in on early monday morning in on san pablo avenue in west oakland. the three story building was transitional housing to people who had been homeless or recovering addicts. just three days before the fire, city building inspectors found multiple fire code violations, including sprinklers and smoke alarms that did not work. inspectors also noted a lack of fire extinguishers and overloaded electrical cords during the inspection. (steve) tempers flare in the east bay at albany high school as a group of students suspected of posting racist comments online and making nazi salutes on campus returned to classes.
