They ran away on foot but a witness did hear a vehicle racing away from the area. The couple are in their seventies. Crews were able to get the victim out of the home and did every thing they could to revive him. But eventually he passed away at john muir hospital. The victim has been identified as 92yearold wesley peters. Neighbors say, they knew him as wes. And are devestated by his death. Little is known about Sherri Papinis life since investigators say she was abducted by two hispanic woman near her redding area home.
