Francisco. Where police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a 65 year old woman late yesterday morning. A short time later. Officers found and arrested Jonathon Santos on mansell street. Near john mclaran park. The 24yearold from vallejo was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder. The victim has been identified as 65yearold lian xiu wu. She was killed near the intersection of broad street and Plymouth Avenue in the citys taraval district. Two other victims, a 40 yearold man and 51yearold manare expected to survive. Wu was walking out to a bus stopwhen she was shot and killed. Police described her as an innocent victim. Investigators have not released a motive. And are asking people to come forward in they have any info. grant another big story we are following tonight. Lots of anger, hurt and tension. In the Albany High School community tonight. After students posted disturbing racist pictures and others made antisemitic gestures. Today parents and students are protesting at the high school. Because they do not want the students responsible, allowed back on campus. Yesterday we reported about the group of 9th grade students who were all doing the nazi salute in the school hallway. The superintendent says everyone involved has been disciplined. But we dont know exactly what was done. This comes after we reported last week about graphic racist pictures posted on instagram. He now saying he and garciatorres went on a snowboarding trip the weekend after lamar disappeared. Daniel fernandez says he met garciatorres in kindergarten. Defense attorneys also questioned fernandez about his and garciatorres use of marijuana. Including their making of hash oil. Safeway records show that garciatorres purchased a turkey baster and a jug of bleach shortly before sierras disapperance. Prosecutors say those were tools he used to break up evidence of a sexual assault. Add federal taxes for another 18point4 cents. The total just under 59 cents a gallon. And again this is before the proposed 12 cents a gallon hike. Which would happen over 10 years. Natsmanning was shot and killed last january as nopd officers were conducting a sweep looking for an Armed Robbery suspects at a new orleans east apartment complex. This is video taken from an officers body camera, and wednesday morning the nopd released it to the media, after showing it to mannings family. It doesnt catch the actual shooting, but. Supt. Michael harrison, New Orleans Police Department there is supplemental footage leading up to the shooting and the initial aftermath in the video you see an nopd officer in Tactical Gear black police shirt and cap both with the nopd logo in plain view. That officer tried to detain manning, who you can see turn and run away from the officer. The officer gives chase and the nopd says when manning turns back you can see what they say is a hand gun in his hand. The chase continues across a yard and again, police say this is a gun in mannings hand. Manning then flees behind what appears to be a shed thats where a plain clothes officer not seen in this video shoots and kills him. Police say a hand gun was found at the scene near mannings body, and theyre awaiting dna test they feel will match it to mannings hand. Deputy supt. Arlinda westbrook, New Orleans Police Department weve interviewed all officers so at this point were just waiting for some of the evidence to come back to make a determination on what our next steps will be. But mannings family has cried foul since the shooting, claiming police were excessive. In a written statement, their lawyer says, in part a critical question remains whether the officer who shot arties was in fear for his safety. The video doesnt show that part of the interaction. The family continues to have many Unanswered Questions about what happened to arties, and awaits the conclusion of the nopds internal investigation. vicki the officer seen in the video who gave chase was issued a body cam, but the camera was not activated thats part of the investigation.
