On Tuesday, The Healthy Oyster Collective announced a new virtual project called three sisters I never had by playwright Eric Marlin, directed by Erica Wray opening this Saturday, February 20th. Marlin and Wray decided to collaborate on the new virtual project while attending The Orchard Project s Liveness Lab in the summer of 2020.

Now, I give you a 28 plays by queer playwrights in 28 days reading list.
We have some of my all time favorites like Jen Silverman and Jan Rosenberg. I reread their plays as if the meaning of life is hidden in the text.
I could only choose so many Rachel Lynett and Gina Femia plays. I could make a whole calendar of just their plays. better yet an advent calendar, but it counts down to pride month instead of the holidays!

GSC prepares to reform ASSU constitution - The Stanford Daily

The Graduate Student Council (GSC) prepared to join the effort to substantially re-evaluate and reform the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU) constitution, picking councilors K.C Shah J.D. ’22 and Jonathan Deemer J.D. ’23 to join a constitutional reform committee.
The committee will comprise representatives from the GSC, the Undergraduate Senate and the ASSU executive team, who will look to reform the constitution which has not undergone significant revisions in approximately 10 years. Once the committee proposes changes, both ASSU legislative bodies will vote on the recommendations. If the revised constitution passes, it will head to the entire student body for a final vote before it takes effect. ....

GSC brainstorms ways to create community for '21s despite COVID-19 restrictions

Despite social distancing restrictions created by COVID-19, the Graduate Student Council (GSC) spent its Tuesday meeting brainstorming ways to create a virtual community for the Class of 2021 in light of a likely-virtual commencement ceremony. 
GSC co-chairs Kari Barclay, a fifth-year theater and performing studies Ph.D. student, and Will Paisley ’20 M.A. ’21 said that, this year, the Office of Special Events and Protocol and organizers of Commencement should hold a virtual ceremony “to not provide false hope,” but that the GSC would not provide a final recommendation to the organizers until they had an idea of what the student body thought of a virtual or in-person commencement. ....

Richmond Triangle Players Announces Finalists for So.QUEER PLAYWRIGHTS' FESTIVAL


Each of the finalists will present an excerpt of their work, introduced by them personally, in a collaborative online presentation, available via Video-On-Demand beginning January 15, 2020 and ending January 29, 2020. The works can be viewed for free by anyone across the country. Those viewing the works will be will be sent a survey to determine the winner; those votes, in conjunction with an adjudication committee selected by RTP, will determine the final winner of the Festival.
Over the course of the following year, RTP will develop further that winning work, in close collaboration with the chosen playwright, through a series of through a series of private workshop readings and public staged readings, as well as consultations with local artists, mentorship from theatre experts, and the provision of other creative supports. The goal is to give the play a full mainstage production in a future RTP season, possibly as early 2021. ....
