from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia this is cbs-3 eyewitness news . you re at the wrong place at the wrong time. it can happen anywhere. new tonight, he says he was minding his own business heading to get groceries and that s when he says a group of teenagers attacked him. good evening everyone. i m natasha brown. thanks so much for joining us tonight. that victim is talkin talkins conclusively with eyewitness news . police are hoping surveillance cameras in the area of 20th and oregon in south philadelphia will help them in their search for the suspects. eyewitness news reporter matt rivers spoke exclusively with the victim tonight who says his frightening ordeal could happen to anyone. reporter: natasha the victim tells us that he parked parked his van along the 1900 block of oregon before 6:00 p.m. on saturday. he was going to get groceries. when he left his van he had for got 10 his wallet april side the glove compartment. when he turned around to
and me and kicked knee in my head. reporter: pinned down to the sidewalk and surrounded there was little he could do. like this. try not putting my fists up but trying to protect myself. i was trying to stay alive. i was doing the best to protect myself. nervous, scared. reporter: eventually a bystander comes over to help and the victim says the group scattered. he went home and filed a police report midday on sunday. the victim says all he wanted to do was go grab some groceries before heading home for the night but instead his nursing bumps and bruises across his body after the alleged attack. it s a question if you re at the wrong place at the wrong time. it can happen anywhere. reporter: you think it was completely random? y. reporter: police are continuing to investigate this case by trying to elect any surveillance video of that alleged attack. as well as trying to locate any witness that is could come forward. no suspects have been identified so far. we r
manayunk. 21-year-old shane montgomery was last seen on thanksgiving eve. good evening everyone, i m karen hepp. i m joyce evans. the reward for information about montgomery went up tonight. fox 29 s chris o connell is live in the newsroom with that information and more. chris? joyce, karen, it has been nearly four days and still no sign of shane montgomery. tonight, though, the search is intensifying as the fbi task force specializing in missing people has now joined the case. i want to find shaken and i want to bring him home. reporter: heartbreaking wait continues for the parents of shane montgomery. it s very difficult. reporter: they watch as search teams waded through the canal waters of the schuylkill river in manayunk for any signs of their son. when there s people around that love you, it makes you strong. reporter: as divers comb the frigid water, police and fbi agents are now reinterviewing anyone who may have seen the 21-year-old. including friends
