Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday declared open a public consultation on the review of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) in Ado-Ekiti, calling for the devolution of power and allocation of more resources to the federating units and building a nation where justice and peace reign.
The one-day consultation was held to harmonise the views of the Government and people of Ekiti State on the review process of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
This is in furtherance to the announcement by the National Assembly on the commencement of the exercise as part of efforts aimed at ensuring active participation of Nigerians in the proposed alteration of some provisions of the 1999 Constitution. ....

Fayemi promises to elevate young, female lawyers as judges

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has reaffirmed his commitment to the elevation of young, dynamic and competent lawyers to the bench as part of ways to champion judicial reforms and enhance dispensation of justice in the state.
Fayemi stated this on Monday when the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ado-Ekiti Branch, Mr Adeyemi Adewumi, led other executive members on a courtesy visit to the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti.
Fayemi said it was better to have young lawyers who are competent appointed into the bench to enable them to have ample opportunity to advance to the highest level of their profession. ....

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has reaffirmed his commitment to the elevation of young, dynamic and competent lawyers to the bench as part of ways to champion judicial reforms and enhance dispensation of justice in the state.

Facebook blocks Nnamdi Kanu's page, IPOB reacts - Daily Post Nigeria

Facebook had blocked Kanu’s account for violating its standards.
The platform had said, “we removed Nnamdi Kanu’s page for repeatedly posting content that breaks Community Standards, including content that violated our rules on coordinating harm and hate speech.”
Reacting, the IPOB accused Facebook of allowing itself to be used by agents of oppression in Nigeria to suppress the truth.
A statement by IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful said the platform teamed up with corrupt Nigerian government officials aide human rights abuses in the country.
The statement reads partly: “We are appalled at the despicable attitude of Facebook for blocking the Facebook page of our Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, after his expository and explosive live broadcast on Tuesday night. ....
