In the first interdivisional action of the season, the Rams ended the weekend falling to the Chaparrals 87-69 on Thursday night and got edged out 69-66 on Saturday. In Thursday s game between the two teams, Lubbock Christian had a big first half which set the tone for the remainder of the game. Lubbock Christian shot 57.9% from the field while ASU shot 47.2%. Junior Sam Baker was the Rams’ leading scorer with 17 points to go with a rebound and a steal. Senior Paul Williams would follow that with 14 points of his own to go with three rebounds, an assist and a steal of his own. Senior Burone Edwards was the Rams third-leading scorer in this game with 10 points and also added two rebounds and a block. ....
