It happened around pened arou night. And the chase carried into oakland where the driver crashed into a parked car. Officers say the driver then got out of the car and he had an assault style gun. An officer then shot him and the man died. The officer has been placed on administrative leave and the police and District Attorneys Office will investigate. They have not released any details about the man. They say that they did recover an assault weapon at the scene. It appears that they are wrapping up.
