The court heard the marquee was erected on Wednesday and was voluntarily taken down by the family on Thursday night.

Cork City Council has been granted an injunction preventing a couple from re erecting a marquee in Mahon on the southside of the city for a wedding reception which is due to take place on Saturday.
The court heard that James and Julia Keenan of Meelagh Housing Scheme in Cork had erected a marquee in a vacant bay near their home for a wedding reception for their son who plans to marry his fiancée in Shannon, Co Clare this weekend. ....

Cork Circuit Criminal Court heard that the victim Gino Frahill, had made a plea for leniency for his 49 year old father Leon
Leon Frahill pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to his son Gino Frahill who is in his late twenties at a bus stop at Glasslyn Road in Bandon on the 31st of March 2020.
He also pleaded guilty to two charges of producing a knife on the same occasion.
The court that Leon Frahill, having stabbed his son eight times then flagged down passing traffic to raise the alarm. ....

A getaway driver who was part of a gang who went to rob the home of an elderly couple after they went to mass only to find gardaí lying in wait when they broke into the property, has been jailed for 12 years.
Tralee native John Faulkner, 38, went on trial at Cork Circuit Criminal Court earlier this week in connection with a robbery at a home belonging to a couple in their 80s in Freemont, Charleville, Co Cork on 19 October 2019.
His defence team had claimed that Faulkner could have been dropping off two men to visit friends. ....

A 45-year-old man who broke into the home of an 83-year-old woman in the middle of the night, pretended to be a garda and stole over €2,500 in cash has been jailed for six years for the offences and a series of other break-ins including four others on the same night.
Anthony Horgan, a native of Carrigtwohill but of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty at Cork Circuit Criminal Court on Wednesday to a series of break-ins at houses in the Tower Street, High Street and Windmill Road areas of Cork’s southside on the night of April 16th/17th, 2020. ....
