Tralee native John Faulkner, 38, went on trial at Cork Circuit Criminal Court earlier this week in connection with a robbery at a home belonging to a couple in their 80s in Freemont, Charleville, Co Cork on 19 October 2019. His defence team had claimed that Faulkner could have been dropping off two men to visit friends.
