Center in philadelphia, this is cbs3 Eyewitness News. The search is over tonight after a harrowing 36 hours. Authorities discover the body of suspected mass murderer brad stone. Good evening, im jessica dean. And im chris may. On monday, one by one, stone killed six members of an extended family that are now grieving the loss. Dead are his exwife nicole stone, Joanne Gilbert who is nicoles mom and pat hill, nicoles grandmother. Stone attacked stones nephew anthony flick who survived but he killed nina flick, a niece, eric john flick nicoles brotherinlaw. Tonight Todd Quinones is at a vigil in souderton where theyre all being remembered. Todd. Avenue in pennsburg. They could be heard over blow horn yelling for 35yearold bradley stone to come out. Police had the place surrounded. Bradley youre under arrest. Come out now. Reporter in the hours to come, the swat team moved in toward the house, then retreated again and again. Armored vehicles circled the block. One moved down the back alley and used a ram to take down the garage door. Residents were forced to evacuate this woman and her child were escorted out by swat team members. Pennsburg residents, many forced from their homes watched from the streets as police kept their sights set on a row home on their block. Ive seen snipers over on the roof, two snipers they had on the roof. I seen the swat guys running around the buildings, you know. Any one got too close they would yell, say you cant come around here, you got to get back. Um, a couple couple bangs. I dont know what that was about but a couple bangs here and there. Highly trained tactical teams going up and down the street. They moved down the alley, smashing into the garage of a home. Theyve been concentrating on. We watched as they put a robot into the house as well. Theyve also had the swat teams, they come up to the house and then they retreat behind their shields. Early this morning neighbors on the block were forced to evacuate. They got a knock on the door. They were told to hide behind the swat teams as they were moved out of their houses. Chopper 6 hd was over the scene earlier as the swat team was in motion. Again theyre looking for 35yearold bradly stone suspected in the deaths of six people and seriously wounding another. All the victims are related. Again early this morning neighbors got that knock on the door. The swat team telling them to get out. That three by 3foot hole sawed through back door. Police spotted two suspects running through the store. They then made their way on to the roof and then back down in the store. Police used the k9 unit to search the store meticulously and more than three hours later those to second suspects were back on the roof in a very tight spot, take a listen. They went inside a ventilation duct of which there are several on this large roof where they found two burglars hiding inside a very small shaft. Two burglars were laying on top of one another that is where they were hiding from the police. Reporter now this would have been the seventh target in the philadelphia area alone, burglarized, this november, and, usually they go for electronics. And, Philadelphia Police, and, looking into whether anybody was. And, these suspects, have been taken into custody, and not armed.
