Around 1,000 residential and commercial structures in subsidence-hit Joshimath have been classified as high-risk, and slated for evacuation and eventual demolition.
Demolition crews continue their careful takedown of two badly damaged hotels in the sinking town of Joshimath. The number of houses with cracks neared the 800 mark, with 147 being declared unsafe.
