SIBU, April 5 Dudong state assemblyman Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing today claimed that the desecration of graves at a Chinese cemetery in Bukit Aup here was due to the lack of action on reports lodged by members of the public. He said an incident was detected last month where a grave was.

SIBU: Three policemen are in remand for a week until May 14 in connection with the death of their colleague, Constable Norhalim Tumiran, 25, in their rented house in Lorong Permai Timur 9, Taman Permai yesterday.
The remand order against the three suspects, all from the peninsula and aged 21, 23 and 27, respectively, was issued by Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokhtar.
Police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
It was earlier reported that Norhalim was found slumped on a sofa in the house with gunshot wounds to the head.
40 Individuals fined for violating CMCO in Sibu cafe 08 Apr 2021 / 16:40 H.
SIBU: Forty individuals were compounded between RM1,500 to RM10,000, after they were found at a cafe, in Jalan Adam here, beyond the permitted operating hours under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) yesterday.
Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said they comprised the cafe’s owner who was slapped with a RM10,000 compound, while eight workers and 31 customers, were fined RM1,500 each.
He said in 10.45 pm inspection, carried out by a team of police and Sibu Municipal Council enforcement officers, all suspects were found at the premises beyond the permissible operating hours in breach of CMCO.
