When Jim Bacon looks out on the sprawling parcel of hickory, pine and oak trees, in his mind s eye he sees rustic treehouse cabins rising 20 feet into the sky, connected by an elevated boardwalk. And when he looks past the self-storage facility he opened at 1700 Wildwood Drive in July, Bacon envisions a campground/family-friendly attraction, with wood-burning firepits, a soft-serve ice cream shop and an electric railway winding its way through the property. He plans to call the complex the Air Tree Inn, and hopes to attract visitors and staycation locals, couples and even wedding parties. Bacon, a 55-year-old local businessman who operates several other ventures including most recently Bacon Storage, which fronts the property on Wildwood said he got the idea from just being a kid. ....
