Crowd angry after an officerinvolved shooting. The officer is in the hospital. Two are shot, one is dead. And family members say police got the wrong guy. Good evening. Im denise nakano. Authorities say the Chester Police captain is in stable condition after he was shot in the arm and chest. Randy gyllenhaal is live with information. Randy . Reporter denise, his name is alan davis, a 26year veteran of force. Hes with shot in the arm. Hes in stable condition here at the hospital, but back at the crime scene tonight, emotions were running very high. A tense night in the city of chester, a community demanding answers while investigators piece together a traffic stop that turned into a deadly gun battle. It started when police pulled ore a suspected stolen car. Passengers in the vehicle were not cooperative. Reporter police say they approached this white sedan when somebody inside shot an officer, leading to an exchange of gunfire. ....

While he was inside, the young man went over to the minivan and drove off with the baby. Short time later the father is texting his phone thats left in the car. He gets a text back to a phone that he borrowed from somebody in the area that the can kids at penn and colter street. Reporter police discovered the child still in his car seat in the rain on the sidewalk along penn street in germantown. Were very lucky that there was a phone in the car and were very fortunate and thankful that the person who took the car did have some kind of a heart and did the right thing by texting the father.
