In addition, while the use of the artificial dairy growth hormone rBST is legal in most states, consumer pressure has driven it off the market. Kroger and Walmart, with a combined share of 35 per cent of the U.S. grocery market, have been hormone-free since 2008 and most other retailers have followed suit. I challenge anyone to be able find milk not marked “hormone-free” in U.S. grocery stores. ....
Article content Costly move Nan Finlayson sold her home to the city at a fair price. Now comes the crux of this situation. The city plans to move this non-spectacular home to a new location at a cost to the London taxpayer of up to $1.1 million. Taxpayers should be up in arms about this. There is nothing logical about saving this home and moving it. The only people who benefit from this are the heritage lovers who have screwed the London taxpayers over one more time. Wake up, people. Tear home down Why is the city moving Nan Finlayson’s house? The city expropriated it. Tear it down. Build the new rail overpass and improve the intersection at Wharncliffe Road and Horton Street. ....
