Kansas sophomore Johanna Ebner shot an even-par 72 to lead Kansas on the first day of the 2023 NCAA Women’s Golf Athens Regional at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Georgia, Monday.
For the second time in school history and first since 2014, the Kansas women’s golf team will compete in an NCAA Regional, May 8-10, at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Georgia.
Kansas graduate senior Esme Hamilton shot an even-par 72 and finished tied for ninth, earning all-tournament honors at the 2023 Big 12 Women’s Golf Championship at the Dallas Athletic Club Sunday. As a team, Kansas finished eighth at the event.
Following its runner-up finish at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, the Kansas women’s golf team heads to Dallas for the Big 12 Conference Championship at the Dallas Athletic Club, April 20-23.
Kansas women’s golf will play for a Big 12 championship as the Jayhawks defeated Baylor, 2-2-1, winning the tiebreaker 7 up vs. 4 up, in the semifinals of the Big 12 Match Play Tournament Saturday afternoon at Kierland Golf Club. Kansas will play Texas for the Big 12 Match Play title on Sunday, April 9, beginning at 10:24 a.m. CT.
