Kagiso Modupe and Anton Jeftha to star in hilarious new comedy The Gang

Some of South Africa’s well known actors, like Kagiso Modupe and the sexy Anton Jeftha, have come together to start the shoot of a hilarious new comedy set to premier next year.
Produced by Azania Productions, who is also responsible for well-known films like “Blessers” and “Broken Promises 4 Ever”, “The Gang” is their latest project set in Joburg.
“The Gang”, follows a group of hapless friends who embark on a rescue mission to save another friend.
Their rescue skills leave much to be desired and the suave six leave utter chaos in their wake.

A matriarch aims to bring together her fractured, dysfunctional family over Eid-al-Fitr to break the news about her new romance.
WHAT WE THOUGHT:
Having just concluded our second Ramadaan amid the pandemic,
I couldn t help but feel nostalgic watching the very familiar scenes of Cape
Town s Muslim community on my screen. Barakat is a beautiful, local film that
achieves precisely what Amy Jephta and Ephraim Gordon set out to do: To
portray the richness of what it means to be from the Flats, but seen through a
different lens.

2020 has been a difficult year for the global film industry, but plenty of films were released on a variety of different platforms and South African audiences responded enthusiastically.
With the new year just around the corner, local film distributor Indigenous Film Distribution, has some real treats lined up for the first half of 2021.
Let’s take a look: This is not a Burial, It’s a Resurrection“
This is not a burial, It’s a Resurrection, starring the late South African screen legend Mary Twala.
It is the first film from Lesotho, made by Mosotho film-maker Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese.

coming here or 3 million french people coming here. it s africans who come from to come and find a little bit of something here. joey: so how do you find south africa so far? cindy: yeah. anthony: i like it. i m very comfortable here. i like a country where people have a sense of humor. a lot of ball-busting going on in this country. joey: all the time, from the top to the bottom. anthony: 20 years from now, what is south africa going to be like? joey: their generation, the born-frees now, is the one that s giving our current president lots of hell. the born-frees is the ones that was born in the new democracy or just before the first election. the born-frees now, they like, look here, we went to school. this is right and this is wrong. and what you re doing is wrong. but we had a struggle. cindy: yeah. joey: yeah, we weren t part of a struggle. i don t care. thank you for the struggle, i ll go twitter now. anthony: now i want five bars on my 3g. i want cind
