Its a major storm, no doubt about it and i wanted to point out where we are. This is the bahamas. There are about 700 islands, only about 30 of them are actually inhabited. Up here in nassau, you may be familiar with it and freeport and the port of miami, of course. Nantucket to if anything a little away. And i will go over some of the reasons we need to pay close attention to that forecast coming up. But right now we have got that steady light to moderate rain over southeastern massachusetts. Temps in the upper 40s, lower 50s. And we have temps in the upper 40s, lower 50s all day long. 7 a. M. , dont be surprised if you see a couple of sprinkles up into boston during the morning commute. The steadiest, heaviest rain over the cape and islands where again we could get an inch or more rainfall. Temperatures have gone up by 1 to 2 degrees. And thats it. A trend for these showers to go further north and west and Southern New Hampshire will get in on a couple of patchy showers but again steadiest stuff will fall south of boston as we get into the afternoon today. 52 to 59. Hurricane joaquin is taking a hard right. Meteorologist shiri spear is trackinging forecast. Shiri based on that forecast more of a breeze and waves. Watching rain in your friday forecast, an inch or more in the cape and islands but that Hurricane Joaquin track as of 5 00 this morning 200 miles off of nantucket. So, yes, staying out to sea, but, again, still a couple of things i am going to go over with you that i want us all to be aware of upper 40s to lower 50s. The cape, the islands, the south coast. Boston running mostly dry and one or two sprinkles through the morning commute. 8 a. M. , the bulk of that rain. Look at the temperatures, barely moving again today. It will be cool, wet and windy as well. By lunchtime, the showers sneak up to the mass pike and a couple of showers ongoing through the afternoon. Wet drive home from work. But comfortable 52 to 58 degrees. 50mileperhour gusts for the cape and island. A lot to talk ....
