Peggy Joyce Clark – Mt. Vernon

Peggy Joyce Clark, 79 of Mount Vernon, Il, formerly of New Lenox, IL passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022, in Mount Vernon. The daughter of Lyman and Corine (Ellis) Johnson, she was born in Fairfield on March 22, 1943. She graduated from Fairfield High School, class of 1961. On May 21, 1966, she married Robert Clark from Mill Shoals. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death in 2018. In addition to excelling in academics, Peggy was an accomplished musician. She played the clarinet in the high school band, but her real love of music was the piano. While in high school, she began playing the piano at church services for First Methodist. Working with the music director, Joe Grubb, she also became accomplished with the Hammond Organ and mastered the church pipe organ. After high school, Peggy attended Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky. She then embarked on a long career in accounting. She worked for Boatmen's Bank in Saint Louis and then continued her career in Evans ....

DOJ secures conviction in 2018 double murder | WITN Channel 22 Wilmington, Delaware

Prosecutors have secured the conviction of a Newport man in 2018 double murder committed near Prices Corner. Glenford Blackwood was found guilty of two counts of Murder First Degree after prosecutors showed that he had murdered Doris Dorsey, 15, and Vincent DiMenco, 36. Blackwood was also found guilty on two charges of Attempted Murder for firing at both of Dorsey’s parents, along with four counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
“This was a cold-blooded, senseless murder that stole a girl from her family and killed an innocent man in the midst of a time of celebration,” said Attorney General Jennings. “I’m grateful to our law enforcement partners who led a successful investigation, and to prosecutors Joe Grubb and Jamie McCloskey for ensuring that a murderer faced justice for his crimes.
